Troy DECA uses this website to share chapter information, collect membership interest, manage chapter updates, and support chapter operations. This policy is written in plain English so that students, parents, guardians, and advisors can understand it. It is not a formal attorney-drafted document.

When you submit a membership access request, we collect:

• Full name
• FJUHSD email address
• Graduation year (optional)
• Consent to use the information for chapter verification
• Submission, review, invitation, and account-status timestamps

Like most websites, the services that host this site may also record basic technical information needed to operate it — such as browser type, device information, and general usage logs — where applicable. This site does not run analytics or advertising trackers.

This website does not intentionally collect:

• Social Security numbers
• Student ID numbers
• Home addresses
• Birthdates
• Medical information
• Sensitive personal information (such as race, ethnicity, religion, immigration status, income, or political views)
• Payment information
• Information from children under 13

Please do not submit any of the above through this website.

Information submitted through this website may be used to:

• Review membership access requests and perform chapter verification
• Send authentication email invitations and Magic Links through Supabase Auth
• Provide role-appropriate chapter documents and competitive-event resources
• Suspend or revoke accounts that should no longer have protected access
• Maintain administrative history needed for chapter operations and security

• Troy DECA does not sell student information.
• Troy DECA does not share student information for advertising.
• Information may be accessible to authorized chapter officers, advisors, or school-approved personnel who need it for chapter operations.
• Supabase processes authentication email delivery, account records, membership data, and private document storage for this site.
• Information may be shared if required by law, school policy, or safety needs.

Students or their parents/guardians may request:

• Access to submitted information
• Correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion of submitted information
• Removal from chapter communication lists

This website is intended for high school students and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit the membership form if you are under 13. If Troy DECA learns that information was submitted by a child under 13, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible.

Troy DECA keeps submitted information only as long as reasonably needed for chapter operations, membership management, event organization, or school-approved recordkeeping. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or archived securely.

Account suspension or account revocation removes protected access but may not erase verification and audit history needed to document prior administrative decisions.

Private document access is checked against the member’s current account status and role. The system may retain limited document access and administrative records when useful for security and chapter operations; it does not place student information in public document URLs.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect submitted information. However, no website or online service can guarantee complete security.

This site may link to DECA, school, conference, or resource websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices, and Troy DECA is not responsible for them. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
